I’m an award-winning podcaster who has presented at academic and industry conferences in Canada, the United States and the U.K. In 2020, I was named one of Avenue Calgary’s 40 under 40 for my community contributions in podcasting and media education.
I developed MRU’s first podcasting course in 2017 — which I still teach and is now a required course for the Journalism & Digital Media program — and work to support the broader podcasting community through the Community Podcast Initiative and volunteer roles with PodSummit, the International Women’s Podcast Awards and The Podcast Academy mentorship program.
On the academic side, much of my research centres on podcasting, which includes my current doctoral studies at the University of Glasgow exploring methods of accessible co-creation in podcast production. This included co-producing Static: A Party Girl’s Memoir with Ashley King, Inside Out Theatre and Chromatic Theatre — which made the Apple Podcast charts in Canada, the U.S. and Australia, and was runner-up (silver) at the 2025 International Women’s Podcast Awards for Comedy Gold.
While I continue to work in podcast consulting and production work, my availability is limited. If you have a project that you’d like to collaborate on, feel free to reach out and we can see if it’s a fit!
