Hey, I’m Meg! I’m a journalist, podcaster and educator based in Calgary, Alta.
In 2018, I joined the journalism faculty at Mount Royal University’s School of Communication Studies. I teach a mix of courses, but am particularly passionate about podcasting, and even created a second-year podcasting course within the program. You can check out MRU student podcasts at Calgary Journal Podcasts on Apple Podcasts.
Aside from my teaching, I do a mix of freelance podcasting and radio work as well as voice work. You may have heard my radio work as a host and producer on CBC Radio — I was also part of the team that created Banff Centre Radio. My writing has appeared in iPolitics, the Ottawa Citizen, CBC Music and CBC online. I also host Magnetic North, a Canadian indie music show, on CKUA Radio every Saturday night from 9 to 11 p.m.
